Elite Diagnostics
About

Tools don't diagnose cars. People do.

Elite Diagnostics is an independent workshop built around one idea: measure before you replace.

Why we exist

The problem with guessing

Most of the cars that come to us have already been somewhere else. Parts have been fitted. The fault is still there. The customer has paid twice and trusts nobody.

That happens when a fault code is treated as a diagnosis. The code says a circuit looked wrong; it does not say why. Finding out why takes wiring diagrams, an oscilloscope, a known-good reference and the patience to provoke a fault that only shows up on a wet Tuesday.

We charge for that testing, and we tell you exactly what we found before any repair is quoted. It is slower than guessing and considerably cheaper than being wrong.

03/Method

How Elite diagnoses

The same four stages on every job, whether it is a warning light or a fault three workshops have already looked at.

  1. 01Diagnose
Technician reading live data on a laptop from the driver's seat

Read every module, record the data and reproduce the fault.

    • In practice
    • Global scan of every control module, not just the engine ECU
    • Freeze-frame and live data captured at the moment of the fault
    • The symptom reproduced on the road, where it actually happens
  2. 02Analyse
Technician at the diagnostic desk with oscilloscope and laptop

Compare readings against known-good values and the wiring diagram.

    • In practice
    • Manufacturer-level tooling and known-good reference data
    • The wiring diagram for the suspect circuit, not a guess at it
    • Oscilloscope and voltage-drop testing where a scan tool can't see
  3. 03Solve
Technician's hands working in the engine bay

Repair the confirmed cause to manufacturer standard.

    • In practice
    • Only a confirmed cause gets a quote. Nothing is replaced on suspicion
    • Reputable parts, correct fluids and the manufacturer's procedure
    • Coding, adaptations and calibration completed, not skipped
  4. 04Verify
Technician signing off the job sheet on a clipboard

Re-test under the same conditions to prove the fault is gone.

    • In practice
    • Same route, same load, same temperature as the original fault
    • Data logged again and compared with the first capture
    • A clear report: what was found, what was done, what to watch
Equipment

Supporting evidence, not the proposition

  • Manufacturer-level diagnostic platforms
  • Four-channel automotive oscilloscope
  • Low- and high-current clamps
  • Smoke / leak tester
  • Regulated programming power supply
  • Thermal imaging for intermittent faults

Customer reviews

Two garages had thrown parts at it. Elite found the actual split in the pipe in one visit and showed me the data.
