We find what others miss.

Advanced vehicle diagnostics, electrical fault finding and technical expertise.

Not guesswork.Diagnostics.

A fault code tells you where to start. Proper diagnosis finds the cause.

02/Position

A fault codeisn't adiagnosis.

A fault code isn't a diagnosis

A code is the vehicle's own note about where something looked wrong. It is not the cause, and it is rarely the part.

We read every module, compare the data with known-good values, then test the actual circuit under the conditions that trigger the fault. Only a confirmed cause gets a quote. Nothing is replaced on suspicion.

How Elite diagnoses

The same four stages on every job, whether it is a warning light or a fault three workshops have already looked at.

  1. 01Diagnose
Technician reading live data on a laptop from the driver's seat

Read every module, record the data and reproduce the fault.

    • In practice
    • Global scan of every control module, not just the engine ECU
    • Freeze-frame and live data captured at the moment of the fault
    • The symptom reproduced on the road, where it actually happens
  2. 02Analyse
Technician at the diagnostic desk with oscilloscope and laptop

Compare readings against known-good values and the wiring diagram.

    • In practice
    • Manufacturer-level tooling and known-good reference data
    • The wiring diagram for the suspect circuit, not a guess at it
    • Oscilloscope and voltage-drop testing where a scan tool can't see
  3. 03Solve
Technician's hands working in the engine bay

Repair the confirmed cause to manufacturer standard.

    • In practice
    • Only a confirmed cause gets a quote. Nothing is replaced on suspicion
    • Reputable parts, correct fluids and the manufacturer's procedure
    • Coding, adaptations and calibration completed, not skipped
  4. 04Verify
Technician signing off the job sheet on a clipboard

Re-test under the same conditions to prove the fault is gone.

    • In practice
    • Same route, same load, same temperature as the original fault
    • Data logged again and compared with the first capture
    • A clear report: what was found, what was done, what to watch

What we can help with

Every job starts with testing. If the fault is not diagnostic, we will say so and point you somewhere better.

Case/004

BMW 335i

Intermittent loss of power

Symptom
Sudden loss of boost under load, roughly once a week. No warning light most of the time.
Testing
Logged boost pressure, wastegate duty and intake temperature over a 40-minute road test with the fault provoked under sustained load.
Cause identified
A hairline split in the charge-air pipe that only opened above a certain pressure and temperature.
Solution
Charge-air pipe replaced, boost system pressure-tested, adaptations reset. Re-tested over the same route. No recurrence.

Tools don't diagnose cars. People do.

The equipment matters. Knowing which test to run, and what a normal reading looks like on this vehicle, matters more.

Technician working under the bonnet in the Elite Diagnostics workshop
Experience
Independent diagnostic specialists. Years in the trade to be confirmed with the workshop.
Philosophy
Test, don't guess. No part is fitted without a measured reason for it.
Equipment
Manufacturer-level diagnostic platforms, four-channel oscilloscope, current clamps, smoke tester, regulated programming supply.
Training
Certifications and manufacturer training to be listed where legitimately held.
Vehicles
European and Japanese passenger vehicles; specialisms to be confirmed.

Customer reviews

Two garages had thrown parts at it. Elite found the actual split in the pipe in one visit and showed me the data.
