  • Parasitic draw measured over time, not a single reading
  • Voltage-drop tests across suspect connectors and grounds
  • Signal quality on sensors and network lines with an oscilloscope
  • Wiring loom inspection at known chafe points
Process

How it runs

  1. Reproduce the fault and narrow it to a circuit
  2. Measure under the conditions that trigger it
  3. Repair the wiring or component that failed the test
  4. Re-test the same circuit to prove the fix

Audi A4 B8

Battery flat every two to three days

Symptom
Battery repeatedly flat after a couple of days parked. Two new batteries fitted elsewhere.
Testing
Parasitic draw logged over two hours with a current clamp, then isolated fuse-by-fuse without disturbing the sleep state.
Cause identified
A convenience module that would not enter sleep because a door-latch microswitch was intermittently signalling the door as open.
Solution
Latch replaced, module sleep confirmed at 18 mA after 30 minutes. No further drains.
